Fantastic Television Limited (Fantastic TV) is pleased with the announcement of the Communications Authority in regard to its approval-in-principle for Fantastic TV to use spectrum as an additional transmission means.

To uphold its purpose of providing television service to the community, Fantastic TV will actively make necessary arrangement to prepare for the use of spectrum for transmission of programmes on the existing Channel 77 Hong Kong Open TV and Channel 76 Hong Kong International Business Channel. It will also launch an additional channel with high quality programmes in order to serve a larger television audience via spectrum.

Fantastic TV expects to complete the infrastructure within this year and conduct testing in the first quarter of 2022. The target is to launch the new channel before the end of 2022.

Apart from using spectrum as a transmission means, Fantastic TV will continue to use fixed network in delivering its television programmes.
