Hong Kong Cable Television Limited ("CABLE TV") today announced the official launch of its Greater Bay Area News Centre ("GBA News Centre"). The GBA News Centre, located in Guangzhou with correspondent from Hong Kong, is dedicated to bringing viewers with the latest news and finance information of the Bay Area as well as talks of the town in the regions. As Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will be unveiled soon, the government officials in the three regions will come together to explore opportunities arising from the plan and formulate directions for future development of the "9+2" cities. To seize the opportunities, CABLE TV has taken the lead in launching the GBA News Centre to provide first-hand information for viewers. We are dedicated to becoming one of the leading and most influential media organizations in the Bay Area.

To keep viewers updated on the new developments of the regions, our GBA News Centre will introduce "GBA Express", a prime time news programme covering the hottest news of the day. The GBA news team will connect simultaneously with our news centre in Hong Kong for information exchange. The team will also work around the member cities to conduct live reporting and interviews with prominent guests to produce news reports with professional analysis.
In addition, our team produces other programmes including "Bay Area Elites", a series of exclusive interviews with key figures of various industries in the regions. Renowned entrepreneurs like Mr Chen Yidan, Co-founder of Tencent, Mr Zhou Jian, Founder of AI robotic company UBTech, Mr Wu Jiawei, first Vice-chancellor of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and so forth will talk about new emerging industries and discover potential opportunities for start-ups. Another programme is "Here you are, Bay Area", presenting viewers with the latest developments of the "9+2" cities. The programme will look into the major developments of the member cities in certain aspects and feature interviews with outstanding company owners or industry elites.
