CABLE TV Exclusively Live Broadcasts FINA World Swimming Championships For Two Consecutive Years
(12 December 2022, Hong Kong) CABLE TV announced its acquisition of FINA Aquatics Events 2021-2024, comprising swimming and diving competition, for Hong Kong exclusive broadcasting rights last year. Since The 16th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) 2022 will be held in Melbourne from 13 December to 18 December (Hong Kong Time), CABLE TV will live broadcast the semi-finals and finals of the Championships, while HOY TV (Free Channel 77) will simultaneously broadcast the key matches, so as to enable viewers to support Hong Kong athletes, and witness their dazzling extraordinary moments in the international aquatic competition.
Hong Kong swimming athletes are fully equipped for the Championships, including Siobhan Haughey, who won seven gold medals and one bronze medal in three legs of the FINA Swimming World Cup 2022, as known as two "Triple Crown" titles, will participate in the 100m Freestyle and 200m Freestyle events to defend her title. Meanwhile, Au Hoi Shun Stephanie (歐鎧淳), HO Ian Yentou (何甄陶) and HO Nam Wai Tinky (何南慧) who participated in the Tokyo Olympics Games, will also compete in the Championship.
To make the international thrilling matches available to a wider audience, and to enable our viewers to support Hong Kong athletes perfectly, the semi-finals and finals are scheduled to live broadcast at 4pm on CABLE Sports (HD 601 / SD 661), as well as to broadcast daily highlights at 1am, during the Championships. Meanwhile, the simulcast of key matches are specially arranged on HOY TV (Free Channel 77), and the highlights of the Championships are scheduled at 1am.
