Prof. HU Shao Ming Herman (“Prof. Hu”) B.Sc., FCIBSE, FHKIE,MIEEE, C. Eng. , has been an independent non-executive Director since April 2012. He is also the chairman of the Nomination Committee and a member of each of the Nomination Committee, Audit Committee and Compensation Committee.

He is the chairman of Ryoden Development Limited. Prof. Huhas been re-elected as a Deputy to the 14th National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China. He is the Life Honorary Chairman of The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong. He is also a general committee memberof the Employers’ Federation of Hong Kong, the Honorary Vice President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, an Honorary Court Member of The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, a memberof the Election Committee of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Vice Patron of The Community Chest of Hong Kong. He was awarded the Honour of Silver Bauhinia Star (SBS) and Gold Bauhinia Star (GBS) by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on 30June 2017 and 1 July 2023 respectively.
